Walk Nakamise-dori up to Tokyo's oldest temple

Senso-ji in Asakusa is the oldest temple in Tokyo, approached through a shopping street that has been trading on the same spot for centuries.
Why it's unique
The approach is the experience: through the Kaminarimon and its great red lantern, up Nakamise-dori between the stalls, and in under the Hozomon.
Before you go
Go at night. The gates and pagoda are lit, the stalls are shuttered, and the crowd is a fraction of the daytime one. Early morning works too.
