Repainted every year
A former warehouse and railyard district north of downtown whose walls, doors, shutters and loading bays are covered in large-scale murals, walkable as a self-guided route.
Why it's unique
Almost all of it is repainted every year. The CRUSH festival brings artists in annually and most surfaces are redone, so the district is materially different from one year to the next.
That impermanence is the distinction. Other cities have mural districts that accumulate; this one is closer to an annual exhibition at building scale, and what you see is specific to when you came.

Free and self-guided — there is no ticket and no fixed route.
Any photograph you find online is probably out of date, and half of what you saw last year will be gone. Go on foot; the interesting work is on side streets and alley walls rather than the main drag.
