Catch a five-minute firework show from anywhere on the waterfront, thirty times a year

Five minutes, 19:00, about 30 nights a year

The only one in KanagawaFree

Yokohama Night Flowers, renamed from Yokohama Sparkling Twilight in April 2025: a programme of short repeated firework displays launched from Shinko Pier or Osanbashi on roughly thirty dates a year.

Why it's unique

The organisers describe it as the largest programme of its kind in the Greater Tokyo area. The format is the distinctive part: not a single summer festival you have to plan a trip around, but a five-minute show on dozens of ordinary evenings through the year.

Viewing is free from anywhere on the waterfront. There is no ticket, no enclosure and no crowd management.

Before you go

Almost every show runs 19:00 to 19:05. Because it is only five minutes, be in position by 18:45. The best free vantage points are the Osanbashi roof and Zou-no-hana Park.

Remaining 2026 dates include 11 and 24 October, 14 November, and 12, 24 and 31 December. On 31 December it fires from both piers at once. Older material still uses the Sparkling Twilight name. Use public transport.
