Why it's unique
Collections of miniatures are usually a room inside a larger museum. This is the whole institution, which changes what it can do — the collection has depth in periods and makers that a single display case could never carry.
The furnished dollhouses are the strongest part, built to consistent scale and fitted out by makers working at a level that reads as craft rather than toy.
