Swim off the edge of the world's largest rooftop infinity pool
150 metres, 57 floors up
The SkyPark spans the three towers of Marina Bay Sands 200 metres up, and the infinity pool runs almost its full length along the northern edge, facing the financial district.
Why it's unique
It is the largest rooftop infinity pool in the world — 150 metres of water on the 57th floor of a Moshe Safdie building whose three towers are bridged by a single cantilevered deck. The vanishing edge is aligned so that from shoulder height in the water the surface appears to end at the skyline.
Swimming at that height in the open air is not something the built environment offers in many places, and nowhere else at this length. The engineering under it is unusual too: the whole SkyPark sits on the towers rather than between them, and the pool has to accommodate the building's movement in wind.
Before you go
**Hotel guests only, and the keycard is checked at the lift.** There is no day pass and no exception; the observation deck on the same level is open to the public but the pool is not. If you want this, you are booking a room.
Go at 6am when it opens. By nine it is shoulder to shoulder and the photograph everyone came for is impossible. The adults-only section is at the far end.
